runrig -- introduction

In the late 90's I regularly visited Galashiels in the Scottish Borders for business. On a number of occasions, the same taxi driver took me back to Edinburgh Airport. We talked about all sorts of things, including personal growth, travel and music. He introduced me to a Scottish band called Runrig.

Back in England, I looked throught the CDs in my local store and bought Long Distance. I played it a few times at home, and forgot about it.

Then, in 2001, I was looking for a CD to play in my car, and decided to try that Runrig CD again. This time, I really listened to it. It was incredible. It was inspiring. These were some of the best songs I had ever listened to.

As a result, I have bought most of the Runrig albums, I have been listening to them frequently, and I have designed this website. I hope you enjoy the information here -- let me know what you think! Email me at akzwart@yahoo.co.uk.
