Technical DetailsThese pictures were taken on Kodachrome 64, using a Canon manual focus camera (Canon EF and Canon AE1 Program) with Canon lenses. I have now switched to a Nikon F60 with Sigma 28-70mm 2.8 lens.I started scanning my slides using the transparency adaptor on a HP Scanjet 5370C. But I soon realised the limitations of this method, and bought a Minolta Dimage Scan Dual, which is a great machine to use. Even after modifying the settings on a good quality scanner, I have found that further adjustments are necessary, e.g. colour balance, contrast, gamma, sharpening. Corrections were made using PHOTO-PAINT and Paint Shop Pro. |
