Join us for AN AMERICAN CHRISTMAS, a program featuring fun and lively early American music from New England, Appalachian, and Shaker traditions. AN AMERICAN CHRISTMAS is a perfect performance for families, friends, and children to celebrate the holiday season. Raucous tunes in the shapenote tradition; simple, heartfelt Shaker melodies; and the proud and vigorous New England "primitive" style will take the audience on a journey discovering holiday fare from the variety of traditions that combine to create America's vital and inspiring musical heritage. This narrated performance features songs and carols for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the New Year.
