A native to Bainbridge Island, Washington, award-winning composer Sarah Rimkus' Mater Dei links two distinct sound worlds in this program of American choral music: The neo-Romantic style of Samuel Barber and the ethereal sound world of Eric Whitacre. This program features Barber's most famous choral composition, Agnus Dei, alongside Whitacre's Lux Aurumque, Water Night, and Saint-Chappelle.
